2 Sick Monkeys
Two Sick Monkeys formed in December 2000, as a live two piece bass and drums, primarily to support Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream) at a drum event in Swindon.
Their influences range from the complex rhythms of No Means No to the catchy melodies of Green Day. They then spent the following months building up a strong live following around the South West of England, supporting bands such as The Buzzcocks, Goldblade, Targetpoint, The Fight and Lord Bishop Rocks.
September 2002 saw Two Sick Monkeys release their debut 5-track CD "Full Flavour Behaviour", their second CD, the 4-track EP, "Nowhere Nothing", followed in August 2003. The debut album "Curse of the Monkeys" is set to be released in May 2005. Each year has seen the amount of gigs increase, everywhere they've played, they've been asked back ... Strange ...
They describe themselves as tight, melodic and percussively in your face ... basically ... Small Outfit, Big Sound!
2005 they will be upping the ante in the U.K and embarking on their first European tour in Germany in October.
2 Sick Monkeys formten sich im Dezember 2000 als ein two piece Bass und Schlagzeug Projekt, hauptsächlich um Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream) bei einem Schlagzeug Event in Swindon zu supporten.
Ihre Einflüsse reichen von den komplexen Rhythmen von No Means No bis hin zu den eingängigen Melodien von Green Day. In den darauffolgenden Monaten bauten sie sich durch Support Shows für Bands wie The Buzzcocks, Goldblade, Targetpoint, The Fight und Lord Bishop Rocks eine große Live Fangemeinde auf.
Im September 2002 erschien ihre Debut-EP mit 5 Tracks namens "Full Flavour Behaviour". Ihre zweite EP "Nowhere Nothing" erschien dann im August 2003. Ihr Debüt Album "Curse of the Monkeys" erschien im Mai 2005. Jedes Jahr stieg die Anzahl der Konzerte. Überall wo sie bisher spielten, wurden sie gebeten wiederzukommen - komisch!
Sie beschreiben sich selbst als "tight, melodic and percussively in your face ... basically ... Small Outfit, Big Sound!"
2005 werden sie zum ersten Mal ihre Heimat England verlassen, um ihre erste Tour in Deutschland zu spielen.
