Lord Bishop Rocks
A lot moved forward during the last year: Lord Bishop Rocks went again on a 150-Shows-Tour, which promoted the latest Album of the Band "Sweat'n'Blood" in Europe.
Again the "King of Sex Rock" presented himself his confessing Fans and those that couldn't deprive themselves from the conversion. This year began like the last one ended: with a tour. Beside Germany, the UK takes shape to become the new musical home of the Rock Stars. All across the country the band is touring - behind them a wave of enthusiasm and new Fans.
Lord Bishop Rocks are Rodney Voodoo on drums (UK), Ralf "Wild Boy" Willis (NYC) on bass and founder as well as frontman of the rocking Trio Lord "The King of Sex Rock" Bishop from New York City (vocals/guitar).
Since 1991 Lord Bishop spread his idea of a Sex Rock Nation everywhere he went - but what is Sex Rock? The Lord's answer: "Sex Rock sounds like Jimi Hendrix on Punk Speed mixed with the sexual discharge of James Brown fucking Marilyn Manson doggie style." But his message is not ending in the call for sexual freedom or love your next or something like that, it's more about talking about the political inconveniences and the most important question of our time: the peaceful living together of everyone. A question that's old and out of date? Not at all, seeing the positive reactions and the consent of the Band's audience everywhere.
In 2004 Lord Bishop Rocks will play in Germany, the UK, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary. Additionally their Live-Album "Live at Bei Chez Heinz" will be released and the Italian Record Label "Nicotine Records" will release a special Italian Album this summer.
This summer Lord Bishop Rocks will also play at the following festivals: Omas Teich (G), Berlinova Festival (G), Audigast Open Air (G), Bulldog Bash (UK), Rock um Knuedler (L), Sziget (H), Vlotho Festival (G), Bier Fest (I), Rafanass Festival (I), East Coast Rock Festival (UK), Clarence Park Festival (UK).
Viel hat sich bewegt im vergangenen Jahr: Lord Bishop machte sich mit seinem damaligen Projekt Lord Bishop's Rockadelic Kings noch einmal auf eine 150-Konzerte-Tournee, die das aktuelle Album der Band "Sweat'n'Blood" in ganz Europa promotete.
Wieder präsentierte sich der "King of Sex Rock" seinen bekennenden Fans und denen die einer Bekehrung nicht entgehen konnten. Auch dieses Jahr begann wie das letzte endete: mit einer Tournee. Neben Deutschland kristallisiert sich Großbritannien als die neue musikalische Heimat des Glamour Rockers heraus. Quer durch das Land führt die momentane Tournee der Band. Zurück lässt sie eine Welle der Begeisterung und einer Menge neuer Fans.

Doch erschöpfen sich Lord Bishop's Botschaften nicht in dem Aufruf zur sexuellen Freiheit, liebe deinen Nächsten oder ähnlichem, sondern beschäftigen sich mit politischen Missständen und der wohl wichtigsten Frage unserer Zeit, dem friedlichen Zusammenleben aller. Ein alter Hut? Nicht im mindesten, sieht man sich die durchweg positiven Reaktionen und die Zustimmung durch sein Publikum an.
Ihre Tourneen 2004 werden die Band neben Deutschland und Großbritannien nach Italien, den Niederlanden, Luxemburg, die Schweiz, Österreich und Ungarn führen. Zudem werden noch in diesem Jahr endlich das Live-Album "Live at Bei Chez Heinz" und ein Album mit brandneuen Songs erscheinen. In diesem Sommer sind Lord Bishop Rocks unter anderem bei Omas Teich, Berlinova Festival, Audigast Open Air, dem Bulldog Bash und weiteren Festivals im In- und Ausland zu erleben.
